In something like a
kart, to turn a
corner you would
normally hit the
breaks and slide
when you approach.
Not so in a
hovercraft! You cant
stay on the throttle
and slide around as
you would in an
ordinary land based
vehicle as you will
simply carry on
straight forward.
These vehicles will
require you to use
your body weight and
planning to control
them making this an
extremely enjoyable
event.
To assist you in
manoeuvring one of
these machines, you
will also find
inside handle bars
and a hand throttle.
No breaks, no
peddles - a
completely different
driving experience.
You may also be
wondering how to
stop a hovercraft
without the use of
breaks. Stopping is
achieved by
releasing the
throttle which will
deflate the cushion
of air and bring you
to a stand still. As
we've said, oh so
different to a kart.
